About Us

The History of the Naturopathy and Homotoxicology Medical Center – Formiga began in 1980 as the first Naturopathy clinic in Angola, offering a full range of specialties. It later transitioned into a Medical Center and, since 1991, has been recognised as the first clinic of Homotoxicology in the country. Recently, it has developed expertise in Biomedical Naturopathy.

 

The founder and Clinical Director, Adriano José Manuel (Adriano Salo), is renowned as the first Naturopath in Angola and serves as the President of the Naturopathy Association in Angola.

Our Services

Formiga Medical Center provides a wide range of General and Specialized Clinical Services, catering to both Geriatrics (elderly) and Paediatrics. The centre is known for its effective medical and medicinal assistance in treating complex and delicate conditions, including:

In many cases, treatments have successfully eliminated the need for surgeries and catheters. The centre also offers Health Programs and Regimes to Combat Smoking and Alcoholism, and improve the quality and duration of life for individuals with HIV, diabetes, and Sickle Cell Anaemia. In summary, the Formiga Organisations Medical Center is dedicated to treating all diseases of natural causes.

Additional Features

Formiga Medical Center features a Botanical Garden with a variety of medicinal plants such as Aloe Vera, Moringa Oleifera, and Eucalyptus. The center houses an internal pharmacy stocked with a range of products from Angolan flora and imports, suitable for treating all diseases. It emphasises the use of natural remedies, including Clay as one of the 5 Healing Agents for treating all diseases and for first aid in case of burns and bleeding wounds.

The center operates five pharmacies in the Luanda province, four of which specialise in natural medicines and plants, and one that offers conventional medicines. Additionally, Formiga Medical Center boasts a Professional Training Center with trainers certified by INAFOP. This centre trains Naturopathy Technicians, with certificates recognised and approved by CONMENTA and INAFOP of MAPESS.
